This series of portraits started during lockdown, which developed into ongoing self exploration.
I am used to finding inspiration in other people's stories. This time I am looking in the mirror.
I have started with building my own models from old pillows, dressing them in my own clothes and shoes, but eventually they needed real faces. First it was my friend, my sister, and now it is my own face on those pillow dolls.
It feels terrifying to confront yourself.
